Stream Manchester's Nightlife
Manchester turns to online streaming to fight Coronavirus pandemic.

Parklife Festival founder Sacha Lord has launched a live streaming service to help raise donations for performers and various charities amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The music platform was set up on 3 April after Manchester's night-time scene has been shut down indefinitely following a country-wide mandatory lockdown.
The United We Stream service has since hosted the likes of poet Lemn Sissay and ex-Hacienda DJ Graeme Park. The total donation figure for April is yet to be announced but Mr Lord confirmed that it was "well into a six-figure sum".
He said: "In a sad state of affairs, the coronavirus pandemic has decimated the nightlife economy."
"However, we are resilient and music is what Greater Manchester does best."
Last Saturday, the service has streamed a performance inspired by Manchester band Stone Roses' 1990 Spike Island gig in Cheshire. DJ Paul Oakenfold also played a set live from his home.
