The Stone Roses have made the announcement to the delight of their fans. They confirmed they will headline the T in the Park on July 08 as well as play two new gigs in June next year. The surprise gigs are scheduled on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 June at Manchester's Etihad Stadium.
The band shared the news on Twitter where they posted a photo of the tour poster. Tickets are set to go on sale this Friday from 9.30am.
The group has fuelled speculation of a reunion when a series of posters featuring their lemon logo mysteriously appeared in Manchester shops. Soon after, fans started to speculate saying that the band, which includes Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni – will be headlining Glastonbury 2016 while others guessed that the band will be going on a tour.
“Stone roses haven't even announced a tour and I'm already nervous about tickets,” wrote one friend.
Another tweeted: “If the stone roses announcement is a tour, I will be going even if it means going alone.”
Others weren't so convinced: “The Stone Roses announcement will either be fake or a gig in Manchester where you'd have to sell family members to get a ticket.”
