Steven Seagal and Vladimir Putin reunite at martial arts school opening

The unlikely pals reunited to open a new martial arts center in Moscow on Wednesday.

Actor and Aikido practitioner Steven Seagal teamed up with his unlikely pal, Russian Vladimir Putin to open a new martial arts center in Moscow on Wednesday, 13th March.

 

The duo were the guests of honor at the official launch of the Sambo-70 venue which will provide training in boxing, sumo wrestling, and Russian-style martial art sambo.

Seagal and Putin have apparantly been pals for years. In 2003, they attended the Moscow International Film Festival ceremony together.

 

One of the things the pair have in common is their love for martial arts. Putin has trained extensively in Sambo, Judo, and Kyokushin kaikan Karate.

 

Seagal, on the other hand, is a 7th-dan black belt in Aikido.
