Fashion designer Stella McCartney is pregnant with her fourth child.

The daughter of Beatles legend Paul McCartney and the late Linda McCartney is expecting her next child with husband Alasdhair Willis to be born later in the year.

The couple already have two sons, Miller, five, and Beckett, two, and a daughter, three-year-old Bailey.

A source close to Stella: "Stella loves the idea of having a close-knit family, just like the one she grew up in.

"She's a great mum. She has been telling all her friends the good news."

Stella recently commented that she was looking forward to having some time off work and has been wanting to expand her family.  She said: "I'm kind of interested in having more children. Though right now I feel like I've only just stopped having them, so I'm ready to have a bit of a break first."

Stella's sister Mary got married last Saturday (June 12), while June 18 marks their songwriting father's birthday.

Newly wed Mary and her new husband Simon Aboud posted a picture of both of themselves on twitter with the caption: "We got married on Saturday. Marylebone Registry, just us and the kids, the rings driven up the aisle to us by one of the boys on a remote control dune buggy. Lovely day."
