Two stars of E4Â’s Misfits have quit the show, it has been announced.
Iwan Rheon and Antonia Thomas, who played Simon and Alisha in the hit E4 drama, have confirmed that they will not be returning for the fourth season.
Rheon, whose character was seen traveling into the past in SundayÂ’s finale, thanked fans for their support on his official Facebook page:
"Thanks for all the comments and support. I'm so grateful for the opportunity that Misfits gave me and all the fun I had doing it.
"But I have left now and look forward to doing exciting new things. The show must go on!"
SundayÂ’s finale also saw ThomasÂ’s character Alisha killed off. The actress, writing on her official Twitter page, confirmed the news of her departure:
"I wont [sic] be coming back for series 4 but I can't wait to see it! I've had an amazing time in misfits- it has been epic!"
The pair are the second and third members of the original cast to have quit the show, following the departure of Robert Sheehan, whose character, Nathan, left at the end of the second series.
He was replaced by former Emmerdale actor, Joseph Gilgun.
A fourth series has already been confirmed by the broadcaster and is scheduled to air late in 2012.
