David Beckham has been named the top role model for British boys.

The results of a poll, recently carried out among male children between the ages of eight and 14, showed that the majority of young boys wanted to turn out like the footballer.

The survey, carried out by Disney XD, also featured television presenter Jeremy Clarkson in second place and footballer Christiano Ronaldo in third.

Lord Sugar came in fourth and Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe made it to fifth.

Barack Obama, Justin Bieber and Simon Cowell also featured in the top 10.
