Some Native Americans are being turned away from Facebook because it believes that they are using fake names.

Facebook previously rolled out a “no fake name policy” and it seems that the social networking site has taken it a bit too far and native Americans are the ones that are most affected.
According to reports, Native American names such as Dana Lone Hill, Shane Creepingbear and Oglala Lakota Lance Brown Eyes were all considered "fake" by Facebook and denied access.
Native American typically use descriptive names based on their accomplishments, experiences and heritage.
Creepingbear told Colorlines: "It's a problem when someone decides they are the arbiter of names. It can come off a tad racist.”
Creepingbear is joined by some other 10,000 people who have signed a Change.org petition to get Facebook to allow Native Americans to use their names on their profiles.
