Soap spoiler: Ex-EastEnders star to return following murder plot

Lucy Beale’s funeral will see the return of Christian Clarke played by John Partridge.

Following Lucy Beale’s funeral, Christian Clarke (played by John Partridge) will return to EastEnders. The 42-year-old will reprise his role for a short stint for the funeral scenes which started shooting this week. 

 

Christian will support his elder sister Jane Beale as he pays his respects to Lucy. This is the first time that Partridge returned to the show since he left in November 2012 when March Elliott, who played his on-screen partner Syed Masood, quit the soap. 

 

Previously, he said that he’s out for good. He told Metro: "I'm out of it forever. I didn't get killed or anything. We both left to lead a much better life out of the Square."

 

Meanwhile, Hetti Bywater’s character will be killed off with the whodunit storyine which is set to run up until the show’s 30th anniversary in February 2015 when the identity of the killer will be revealed.
