Soap spoiler alert! Emmerdale character comes 'back to life' to attack murderer

Declan Macey gets a shock as her wife comes ‘back from the dead’ to attack her would be murderous husband.

Emmerdale character Declan Macey, the conniving businessman who thought he had killed his wife when he attempted to dump her supposedly lifeless body, gets a shock when his wife, Charity Macey, “comes back to life” to attack him. In shocking new scenes, the couple engages in a fight, which could go to the (real) death.

The crafty ITV soap character, played by actor Jason Merrells, poisoned his wife with pesticide when he learned that she was lying to him about aborting their baby. However, Charity discovered the plan before it was too late.

Jason told the Daily Star newspaper: 'When he finds out that she's been lying his whole world falls apart. There's a huge amount of hatred and revenge.'

He added: 'He's completely tied up in the mother of all pre-nups that he signed on her behalf and it's utterly watertight.

'She hasn't cheated on him which is the only get-out, so there's nothing he can do. In his skewed logic, the only thing he can do is kill her. To him that's his only option.'

'In a very ruthless and methodical way, he plots his revenge.'

'Filming this stuff has been really demanding and brilliant to do. We've basically been making a movie together, it's been fantastic to film in this amazing location.’
