Smart homes will become the norm in not-so distant future, experts have claimed.

Smart home automation is a relatively new concept that is being used by less than 20per cent of the world’s population. It uses the power of connected devices that have the ability to communicate and think on their own to improve the quality of your life by providing you with convenience, cost-savings and even improved safety and security.
As more and more homeowners adapt this technology, the industry will only get bigger and more sophisticated. Experts expect that smart speakers will become a norm, much like your TV set, in the living room. These speakers are your gateway to home automation as they are designed to connect with every element in your home – from your thermostat and light bulbs to door locks.
In a not-so distant future, watching TV and movies will become a wildly different experience. This will be made possible by entertainment systems that are set to hit the market in a matter of years. These include the LG Display that debuted at this year’s Consumer Electric Show that rolls up away and out of sight when not in use.
Cooking is also expected to be revolutionised with new kitchen gadgets. Smart ovens will be outfitted with digital thermometers and cameras so you can monitor your food as it bakes wherever you are in your home.
Many home-focused technology are also making their way to the bedroom and are basically designed to give you a good night’s sleep. Sleep trackers and smart mattresses will help you get at least eight hours of sleep so you’ll wake up energised each and every day.
