16:17 14 July 2017
Clueless on how Apple HomeKit products actually work? Well, Apple is ready to help you with that as it unveils its interactive HomeKit experiences in 46 of its retail stores worldwide.
Simply visit participating Apple stores and use Home app using an iPad, iPhone or an Apple Watch to control devices such as the Hunter ceiling fan and Philips Hue light bulb.
In the US, participating outlets include Apple’s Union Square store in San Francisco, World Trade Centre and Williamsburg stores in New York, and 28 other stores throughout the country. Outside the US, apple offers these experiences in 15 stores located in Mexico, Germany, the UK, United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Taiwan.
Apple’s Home app has been designed to allow homeowners to control all their HomeKit-enabled smart devices from one app and it can take just a tap of the screen or via Siri to activate multiple devices at once.
Apple’s retail store experience aims to help people get comfortable with HomeKit devices and help to democratise home automation.
