Many homebuilders are starting to embrace home automation technology as more and more home-buyers demand to have easy control over their property using a single device. They also demand new features that can offer them with convenience, cost-savings, improved security, and highly effective power management systems.
To meet this growing demand, high-tech options are now being incorporated into new construction. Many businesses in the field of real estate invest in systems that control interior and exterior lights, heating and air-conditioning, and home security systems including smart door locks and video doorbells. Developers also ensure that the home is completely wired with enough bandwidth and good WiFi reception.
One of the companies that is committed to meeting the growing demand for a truly connected home is Meritage Homes, a developer in California. The company has recently announced that it will include Wi-Fi enabled home automation technology in all its new construction immediately. Their homes will be specially designed with a centralised location for the WiFi modem and will include items such as garage-door openers, thermostats, lighting and irrigation, and video doorbells.
