What is smart home automation and why it is worth your money?

Smart home automation, also called smart home technology, combines the use of smart gadgets and Internet of Things (IoT) allowing you to control, program and monitor your household activities. The system can be used for simple and more complex smart devices and appliances including indoor and outdoor cameras, sound systems, heating and cooling systems, locks and even coffee pots. Such products use software that allows you to remotely control them through your device. For example, you can lock your front door from the office using a smartphone. Home automation also refers to the use of sensors, such as HVAC system that can be programmed to be automatically turned on or off based on home occupancy.
