Smart Card
A smartcard can replace the entire content of your purse.
14:13 17 June 2017
A Californian company has created Fuse, a smartcard that can replace the entire content of your purse. Featuring a re-writable EMV chip, the bankcard, which is the same size of a normal bankcard, can take on the information of up to 30 cards – from bankcards to reward cars and gym membership passes.
Cards are added by simply taking a picture of their barcode via a dedicated app or by swiping it with a card-reader. Fuse can also combine certain cards in certain transactions. For example, a shopper can get reward points while paying for his purchase at the same time.
Fuse can be locked with a code and will automatically lock if the paired phone is too far away. Meanwhile, its location can be tracked via its app on your phone.
The card is being shipped worldwide according to its page on Indiegogo – with the lowest prices for pre-order at around £70.
