Football legend, Sir Bobby Charlton carried the Olympic flame today at 6:30 am in Manchester. Hundreds of people gathered to watch Sir Bobby passing Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium with the Olympic flame.
This 1966 World cup winner and Manchester United hero is amongst one of the 151 torchbearers to carry the flame from Manchester to Leeds.
Sir Bobby said: "This is magic. This is a great place and the fans have been great."
He added that he was overwhelmed by the amount of fans who had shown up to see him. "This time in the morning. It's staggering isn't it? But they like to be part of it and it's just a happy time. I'm so proud and so pleased. It's something that we worked for and it's culminated in a fantastic time."
