People who go to restaurants and bars are typically served wine in either 175ml or 250ml glass. To cut down alcohol consumption, East Dunbartonshire has introduced a new scheme giving customers an option to use a 125ml glass wine instead.
The scheme was set up the Scottish Government Alcohol Industry Partnership, which brings together politician and the alcohol industry.
Based on research, 70per cent of adults do not know how much wine is in small, medium, or large glass, with nearly half of the customers surveyed opting for a large glass which contain more than three units of alcohol.
