ShiltonÂ’s red card
Ex-England keeper is given the boot...

Peter Shilton was voted off Strictly Come Dancing this weekend after losing a battle with DestinyÂ’s Child singer Michelle Williams.
The ex-England goalkeeper, 61, received the lowest number of votes from the judges; a disastrous 17 out of 40.
Shilton and his partner Erin Boag were given a dressing down by all the judges, with even the usually sympathetic Alesha Dixon saying: “It’s like your body can’t compute the dance.”
Bruno Toniloni, meanwhile, said: “You looked like a penguin stuck in the mud!”
Boag has commented that she believes their bad performance was due to her revealing outfit, which she told The Sun had distracted her partner.
“Peter was gutted to be out. He told me, ‘The reason I messed up the routine was those suspenders you were wearing.’”
Strictly also hit the headlines this weekend after Ann WiddecombeÂ’s flying trapeze performance was said to have attracted an extra two million viewers.
The show, which usually loses out significantly in the ratings to the X Factor, has seen a surge in audience figures after news spread that the former minister was putting in entertaining performances.
This week, Strictly saw 11million people tune in, which was a 48 per cent share of the viewing total for Saturday night.
