Seventh Apprentice fired
Latest hopeful faces Lord Sugar's wrath...
08:47 09 June 2011
Edna Agbarha has become the seventh Apprentice to be fired, after her team failed to impress Lord Sugar in their rubbish clearing task.
Team Venture, project managed by Zoe Beresford, made a healthy profit of £706, but were forced to return to the boardroom after rivals from Team Logic took just £6 more.
Venture slipped up by asking clients to pay them to take away their unwanted goods and rubbish, while Logic offered to do the work for free, scooping both of the contracts set up by Sugar.
Members of Team Logic, headed by five-time-winner Helen Milligan, then sold the goods they picked up on for a profit.
Beresford brought Edna and Susan Ma back into the boardroom with her, but it was Edna who felt Lord Sugar's wrath, as he declared:
"Edna, I just don't think you and I are going to gel in business. I wish you well, but Edna; you're fired!"
Speaking in the back of the taxi home, Agbarha said:
"I have three degrees, one BSc and two Masters. I have also had successful businesses too, so I'm sure I'll be successful in whatever I do."
The Apprentice continues Wednesday nights at 9pm on BBC One.
