Saying 'I do' on a budget
14:06 01 November 2010
The average couple apparently spend £21,000 making their wedding day special, but is that too much for just one day?
Premier Inn are offering couples an alternative; your big day without the big budget. The hotel chain are launching a credit crunch-busting £199 wedding to give couples a more affordable wedding and honeymoon.
Steve Conway, spokesperson for Premier Inn, said: "A wedding day doesnÂ’t need to cost a fortune for it to be special. We hope that our bargain wedding package will help couples to have an enjoyable, romantic, stress-free day and a honeymoon that wonÂ’t break the bank".
So, could you be persuaded to ditch the 100 person guest list, horse-drawn carriage, white doves, four bridesmaids, three-course meal, big church wedding that you'll remember for the rest of your life for a Premier Inn wedding?
On the big day:
- Wedding Dress
- Groom's suit
- Three boxes of confetti
- Wedding cake
- Buffet reception for up to 20 people, with one alcoholic drink per person
Honeymoon package:
- Two nights' stay in a double room at the Premier Inn
- Main evening meal on both nights with a glass of wine each
- All you can eat breakfast for two on both mornings
- A bottle of sparkling wine
- Box of Roses chocolates
- Rose petals on the bed
- Punnet of strawberries
- A hamper filled with spa treatments
