Sandra Bullock hopes that more roles written for men will be given to women.
Speaking on the red carpet of the premier of her newest film, Our Brand Is Crisis, Sandra revealed that she convinced George Clooney and Grant Heslov to change a part written for a man to woman so she could play the character instead.
"I like men, I don't want the male roles to change but I will go after a role if I think a woman can play it," she said.
"It would be great, I think some roles belong to the male sex and some belong to the female sex, I just think writing wonderful stories that embrace and support women is needed."
Sandra, who has a five-year-old son, said that she’s now choosing movies that her son can actually watch.
"I choose the same way as before but now I just need to choose something my son can actually watch,"
Meanwhile, Billy Bob Thornton, who plays Sandra’s sparring partner in the film, was full of praise for his co-star. He said: "We knew each other a little bit. We never worked together before, she is an easy person to be around.
"You have to get up to being kind of nasty to her every now and then, that's the hardest part of it. Because, it is hard being nasty to Sandy."
