Salisbury City Council is seeking for volunteers to monitor and operate the city’s digital CCTV and radio system. Salisbury CCTV, which is jointly funded by the local council and Salisbury BID, was previously operated by Wiltshire Council.
Richard Goodman, CCTV manager, said: “We have recruited and trained two groups of volunteers in the last year, and they are doing a great job.
“We now have capacity to train a further 12 volunteers.
“If you have good communication skills, are able to work to a high standard under pressure and are committed to Salisbury’s security and public safety, then we’d love to hear from you.”
Volunteers, who will be trained to a professional standard, will be required to commit at least 16 hours per month. They will also work with many city partners including Salisbury Police, ShopWatch, PubWatch and City Wardens.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact Richard Goodman at Rgoodman@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk or 07849088205.
