CyberGhost VPN has successfully launched the Safe WiFi Project that offers hospitality business owners a way to monetize the free WiFi services they offer to their customers. The first online security program generating revenue was first implemented in 2016 together with Lagardere Travel Retail.

 

The project can be joined by hotels, airports, restaurants, ferry lines, airport retail businesses, and local attractions from around the world which are provided with custom-made materials that they can promote on their location. Interested parties can also join the program by using captive portals shown to new guests wanting to connect to the locations of WiFi hotspot.

 

As for the end customers and travellers, they are offered access to content from anywhere in the world, security for both free and paid WiFi connections, and cost reduction through mobile data compression.
