Russell Crowe honoured at a Film Festival

The Man of Steel actor was presented with the Taormina Arte accolade at the 59th annual movie event.

Russell Crowe was given a prestigious award at Taormina Film Festival. The Man of Steel actor was given the Taormina Arte accolade on June 15th, 2013.

His Man of Steel co-stars, which include Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, and Michael Shannon, were there to show support.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Crowe impressed the audience by delivering his acceptance speech in Italian.

He said: “This is my first time in Sicily, and you are already giving me an award. I should come here more often.”

He added: “I have always had a deep love for Italy, even before I became a gladiator.” Crowe was referring to his Gladiator movie back in 2000.
