Hall Park and Rushden Hall’s CCTV system has been upgraded to include four domed cameras and a comprehensive system that uses the very latest in technology. The state-of-the-art system is linked to the Crime Secure Monitoring Centre in Daventry and is also accessible to Rushden Town Council.
A spokesman for Rushden Town Council, which has paid for the upgrade, said: "This investment in the council's CCTV system at Hall Park will ensure that we have improved infrastructure in place to help prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, protect our public assets and improve community safety.
"It can also be used to aid the police as part of any investigations.
"2019 saw Hall Park uphold the prestigious Green Flag Award for a sixth successive year and is considered one of the best parks in the county.
"Hopefully, with the help of the upgraded CCTV system, we will be able to maintain that title and continue to take pride in one of Rushden's much loved and well used community facilities."
