Sir Elton John is the latest star to reveal that he will be attending Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding this April.

Speaking to Canada's CTV, the singer confessed that he has been keeping he and his partner David Furnish's invite a secret from the media.

He explained:

"We do have an invitation. I've been trying to be discreet".

Elton also discussed his feelings on the royal couple, revealing that he sees a lot of his friend, the late Princess Diana, in Kate.

"Kate is Diana in personality. She is very discreet; she is a very beautiful girl.

"They have been together a long time and I think she has handled the pressure so much."

David and Victoria Beckham are also among the 1,900 people invited to the ceremony.

The footballer will however board a plane straight after the wedding so he does not miss a crucial match.

The 35-year-old said: "You don't say no to the future King of England."

The wedding will take place at Westminster Abbey on 29 April.
