Rochdale Council Supports Clean Air Technology at Heywood Factory

Envair Technology at Heywood Distribution Park is a "world leader in innovative clear air technology solutions".

Envair Technology provides innovative clean air and containment solutions to the pharmaceutical process - from manufacturing and drug discovery to industrial laboratory.

 

The rapidly expanding local business, which is located at Heywood Distribution Park, generates highly skilled jobs in engineering and manufacturing. 

 

The firm was recently visited by Steve Rumbelow, chief executive of Rochdale Borough Council, and Michelle McHugh, business development manager from the Rochdale Development Agency. The pair were able to see the factory first-hand and learn more about how the new facilities have enabled the business to bring more of its state-of-the-art technology and processes in-house, including laser cutting and powder coating. 

 

CEO of Envair Technology, Andrew Ellison, commented: “We’re grateful that both Steve and Michelle were able to see for themselves the work that we’re doing to build the business and generate highly skilled jobs in engineering and manufacturing.

 

“Support from the Rochdale Development Agency and the council has helped us to make our vision for the Heywood site a reality. We look forward to forging stronger links with the council and local colleges to ensure our region’s young people are being taught the best possible skills to equip them for future roles in the sector.”
