Robbie Williams has been hotly-tipped to sing the theme tune to the next James Bond movie.
The pop heartthrob has reportedly been approached about providing the vocals to the music for new film 'Casino Royale'
Crooner Tony Christie has penned a track for the upcoming spy thriller, scheduled to be recorded in February, and says he hopes Robbie will agree to sing it.
He revealed: "Robbie's voice would suit it down to the ground - plus he's current and hip so it would be absolutely great if he did it. We tried to make it a typical Bond theme tune with a throbbing dramatic bass line filling the background.
"I'm a huge fan of the old school 007 songs like Shirley Bassey's 'Goldfinger' and Tom Jones singing 'Thunderball', so I tried to give it that authentic sound."
Last year, it was rumoured Robbie was a contender to take over from Pierce Brosnan as the dashing spy.
However, the star scotched reports at the time, saying: ""Me from Stoke-On-Trent, doing James Bond? I just don't see it happening."
