Robbie Williams is set to sing his new single, 'Bodies', when he makes a guest appearance on The X Factor next month. It will be his first show in Britain since 2006.

On the first of the show's live finals he will perform tracks from his new album 'Reality Killed The Video Star', which is in stores on November 9.

Williams stated: "I'm a huge fan of The X Factor. Of course IÂ’ll be watching every week, just like everyone else."

But the former Take That star has expressed his concerns, citing that he has a rival on the show. He told The Sun: "There's this one guy on The X Factor who is amazing - I think he could take my place."

He joked: "I've got my eye on him - he's dead."

An X Factor insider said: "Getting Robbie is a huge coup for us. We are still talking about him mentoring or giving the finalists a masterclass.

"The show has got bigger. It is one of our best-rated shows and we want to keep viewers excited by it."
