Robbie 'injects sex hormone'

Star admits using testosterone jabs twice a week...

Robbie Williams has confessed that he injects himself with a hormone to boost his sex drive.

The Take That star has admitted that he uses testosterone jabs twice a week, after a doctor told him he had the libido of a 100-year-old man.

In an interview with Esquire magazine, the 37-year-old explained the situation:

"To cut a long story short I went to get some HGH (Human Growth Hormone). It's what all the old fellas are on out there in LA that's making them look 40 instead of 60."

"Went to see a Hollywood doctor. Had my blood tests. Went back. [The doctor] said, 'You don't need HGH. You've got the testosterone of a 100-year-old man'.

"And then everything made sense. It was kind of an epiphany that day."

Williams, who has recently rejoined his bandmates to embark on their sold-out Progress tour, has been taking the injections for two years. 

Robbie left take that in 1995, however the band reformed without him in 2006.

Testosterone injections are generally prescribed for men whose bodies do not naturally make enough of the hormone.

Men who have the injections could notice breast growth and experience mood changes.
