When Chris Moyles went off on holiday, burglars had a field day at his £2 million home in London. Along with other items, the controversial Radio 1 DJ’s two sports cars, an Audi RS and a Mercedes ML63, each worth £100,000 each, were stolen. They have, however, been recovered by the police.
Police have started an investigation into the burglary in the DJ’s home in Highgate, North London. A representative from Scotland Yard said: “We are investigating a burglary that took place on Thursday at an address in Highgate.”
“Two vehicles that were stolen as a result of the burglary have been recovered and inquiries are continuing. There have been no arrests at this time.”
Chris, who was reported as extremely angry upon finding out about the robbery, was said to be very relieved after his expensive cars were found.
A source close to Chris also said: “It may not be coincidence that burglars broke into his home when he is away and not on the radio.”
Chris Moyles is the longest-serving breakfast host in Radio 1’s 45-year history. He is set to present his last show next month after spending a total of eight years behind the microphone. He will be replaced by Nick Grimshaw.
