Cameron Diaz is reportedly still waiting for an engagement ring from Justin Timberlake, days after the pair decided to wed.

The singer allegedly failed to pop the question on bended knee to the stunning actress.

Instead, the pair decided to tie the knot after a long discussion about their future together.

A source revealed to America's E! Online website: "Justin didn't get down on his knee. They were just talking about it and were kind of like, 'Yep, let's do it.' He didn't give her a ring, and she's still not wearing one. But she is squealing about it all the time."

Earlier this week, it was reported the smitten pair, who began dating in

2003, celebrated their engagement by dining out in a Los Angeles restaurant, surrounded by their friends.

An onlooker said: "They looked really happy together. Justin kept leaning over to Cameron, kissing her and whispering in her ear."

Rumours the pair were planning to tie the knot have been circulating for months.

Last year, it was alleged the pair wanted a lavish Christmas wedding.
