Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has been confirmed to join the third season of UK’s The Voice. He will replace Danny O’Donoghue who left the show together with other judge Jessie J and presenters Reggie Yates and Holly Willoughby.
Mr Wilson will join Tom Jones, will.i.am, and Kylie Minogue on the judging panel on January when the show returns to BBC One. New hosts are Big Brother presenter Emma Willis and JLS singer Marvin Humes.
In a statement, he said: "Who doesn't want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue?"
"I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars.
"I'm just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!"
Meanwhile, BBC’s Mark Linsey seems to think that Ricky Wilson is the best person to complete the line-up. He said: "Ricky is one of the UK music scene's great frontmen.”
"He knows all about performance and will complement the rest of the coaching line-up perfectly."
Meanwhile, aside from new coaches and new hosts, the show will also have a new schedule. Moving up the schedules to January, it will no longer compete against ITV’s show Britain’s Got Talent.
