Reunion confirmed?
Now Nadine speaks out about Girls Aloud reforming...
09:34 19 July 2011
Nadine Coyle has confirmed that she and the rest of Girls Aloud will reunite for the group's tenth anniversary next year.
Coyle explained that the band have already discussed the prospect of getting back together, telling internet radio host Dean Kelly:
"We always discuss doing a ten-year reunion thing. So that's going to be next year.
"We're definitely going to do something. But it's a whole huge production. Girls Aloud is not just us five, there's, like, us five plus a ridiculous team of 50 who travel with us, it's amazing."
The band's manager, Hilary Shaw, has previously hinted that the girls will be back, saying:
"Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their tenth anniversary so there will be something."
However, she did admit that a new studio album is unlikely.
The band's future had looked uncertain, following rumours of a feud between Nadine and bandmate Cheryl Cole.
Shaw has since denied these rumours, explaining:
"They speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl [Cole] and Nadine [Coyle] with the other girls."
Girls Aloud, who were formed on reality television show, Popstars the Rivals, have not performed together since 2009, when they opened for Coldplay at Wembley Stadium.
