Former X Factor contestant Ray Quinn was hailed as the last ever Dancing on Ice winner after he beat Coronation actress Hayley Tamaddon during the show’s “Champion of Champions” final episode.
The win is apparently not surprising as he and his partner Maria Filippov were early favourites.
They have received the most number of votes from viewers after getting a maximum of 40 points for both their routines on the night.
The 25-year-old said: "I'm absolutely privileged, but this moment is for Maria. I'm proper buzzing, I'm over the moon. Drinks are on me."
The ITV show, which ran for nine seasons, has officially ended. The finale was opened by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean by dancing their last televised performance of the famous Bolero routine.
Others who took the ice included the presenters, Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley together with the show’s judges: Robin Cousins, Ashley Roberts, Jason Gardiner, and Karen Barber.
Judge Gardiner said Quinn was a "master" and told him: "I sit here in absolute awe of what you can do."
