A lot of people are looking forward to retirement. It means no more going to work and having the time in the world to do things you’ve always wanted to do for years.
However, there are some that are unsure on what to do. Should they retire now? Should they wait for 2 to 3 more years so they can save more money?
Below are some of the questions that people who are approaching retirement usually ask:
Question: Will I be happy?
Answer: A lot of people think that retirement is all about being happy 24/7. Well, truth be told, you can’t be happy all the time. It doesn’t matter if you’re working or you’re retired, it’s just not possible.
If you worry about being unhappy when you retire, sit down and think about the things that you’re going to do when you stopped working. Do these things make you happy? Do you think these things would make your life more worthwhile? You decide.
Question: Do I have enough money?
Answer: Most people put retirement on hold because they fear that they don’t have enough money to have comfortable golden years. If you haven’t saved enough, this could be a big problem.
If you don’t have enough to live by, you may delay retirement for a couple of years. Then, be aggressive on saving more money.
Question: Won’t I be bored?
Answer: When you retire, you’ll have the time in the world to do every single thing you’ve been dreaming of. I don’t know about you but that doesn’t spell boredom to me at all.
