Queen's best lyric?
Anniversary poll determines band's greatest ever line...

The greatest ever Queen lyric has been determined in a survey held to mark the band's 40th anniversary.
A huge 1-in-5 fans who voted in the joint Island Records/HMV survey picked the line "DonÂ’t stop me now, IÂ’m having such a good time, IÂ’m having a ballÂ…." as their choice of the greatest-ever Queen lyric.
Penned by Freddie Mercury and featured as the twelfth track on the band's 1978 album Jazz, DonÂ’t Stop Me Now was released as a single on 26 January 1979, reaching no.9 in the Official UK Charts.
HMV's Gennaro Castaldo commented on the poll, saying:
"When it comes to lyrics, Queen clearly rank right up there, arguably coming only behind the likes Lennon and McCartney and Dylan, as one of the greatest song-writing teams of all time.
"Whilst you'd imagine there might be more obvious choices, we shouldn't be too surprised that a lyric from Don’t Stop Me Now is a clear favourite among fans – it’s such a feel-good, life-affirming song."
Coming in second in the poll, with just over 10 per cent of the popular vote, was the poignant lyric from The Show Music Go On,"My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies, fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die. I can fly my friends!".
The lyric will now be celebrated in a special 'Our Inspiration' version of HMV's acclaimed brand campaign, which launched in September 2006 when David Bowie selected a line from Syd Barrett's Gigolo Aunt as the line that has most inspired him.
The Our Inspiration campaign will coincide with the final instalment of Queen album re-issues on 5 September, which have been remastered and released across 2011 to celebrate the groupÂ’s anniversary landmark.
