Billionaire alien hunter Yuri Milner is to announce the latest stage in his hugely expensive bid to find extraterrestrial being.

 

The Russian entrepreneur is set to appear alongside Professor Stephen Hawking to announce the launch of the project called Starshot. So far, very few details have been revealed about the mysterious “space exploration” project.

 

However, we already know that Milner has agreed to spend $100 million on a decade-long search for aliens. He has previously vowed to spend huge sums of cash to discover the answer to one of the humanity’s biggest questions. In previous interviews, he said: "The universe is not teeming with life, but we’re probably not alone,"

 

"If we were alone it would be such a waste of real estate. But I don’t want to be the judge, I just want to help find an answer."
