“Take a life to save a life,” this is what Prince Harry had to say when asked if he killed insurgents during his five-month deployment. The 28-year-old prince returns to the UK after his second deployment to Afghanistan.
When reporters asked if he had killed insurgents from the cockpit, the prince answered: "Yeah, so lots of people have. The squadron's been out here. Everyone's fired a certain amount.”
He added: "Take a life to save a life... That's what we revolve around, I suppose. If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game, I suppose.”
Harry was involved with a number of missions in the war-torn country. These include supporting allied troops and accompanying British Chinook and US Black Hawk helicopters on their evacuation missions.
The prince also talked about what the naked photo scandal last year saying he had “let himself and his family down.” He added that his father, Prince Charles also reminds him of his position all the time.
Meanwhile, the prince said he’s excited to be an uncle. His brother, Prince William and his wife, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, are expecting their first baby this year.
