Prince Harry, or Prince Henry of Wales, has attended a charity gala dinner in London. The Walking With The Wounded Crystal Ball Gala Dinner was held at Grosvenor House Hotel.
It is understood the event was held in order to raise monies for the charity with regards to it having a trip to the South Pole planned for late 2013.
It has been reported that the Prince, 28, an Apache co-pilot gunner, spoke of wounded servicemen and women on the night.
Prince Harry said as reported by the Daily Mail: “For every life taken, which is about 450 in Afghanistan, about 4,000 are injured and that's what we don't hear about.”
Adding: “Arms, legs that will never grow back as well as mental injuries - the image of your best friend being blown up next to you, that's something that will never leave you.”
And Ellie Goulding, the 26-year-old UK singer, is also believed to have been there on the evening. Reportedly the pop sensation sang for the hundreds of people at the event.
Ellie, known for the song “Starry-Eyed”, as well as “Anything Could Happen” among others, also performed at the Royal Wedding. This is in regards to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding reception.
Prince Harry came back from a tour in Afghanistan early this year.
Walking With The Wounded is based in the UK. The charity raises money to help servicemen and women who have been injured in regards to re-training and re-educating them.
