As the Prince Harry nude picture scandal intensifies, it has been revealed that his closest royal relations are 'not impressed' with his antics in Las Vegas while on holiday.
According to The Mirror, Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles talked on the phone on Wednesday and Charles advised his son to avoid the media and instead focus on his military and Royal duties.
A source told the paper: “Charles is not impressed with Harry’s antics and thinks he should have known better.
“He has advised his youngest son to lie low and not be seen falling out of any nightclubs.
"He gave him a talking to as any protective father would because he wants to make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.
“But he wasn’t too unkind. Harry is embarrassed enough as it is.”
The news comes as The Sun newspaper recently became the first UK national paper to publish the photographs from the party while other British outlets backed off in the wake of the Leveson Inquiry.
The images originated on American gossip website TMZ and were confirmed as "genuine" by the Palace.
Prince Harry also apparently offered his opinion on the events to his brother. The Mirror stated through an unnamed source that he was “not impressed” by the attention drawn to the royal family.
Additional details from the wild night emerged via Olympian Ryan Lochte who was staying at the same hotel.
Speaking during an interview on the Today show, Ryan told presenter Matt Lauer: “We were at the same pool party and his people came over to my table and said Prince Harry wants to meet you and I was like, "Okay, let's go meet him"'.”
“He said, "Do you want to race me in the pool?" And I just took off my shirt and jumped in and we just started racing.”
“He's really a nice guy, really talkative. He just wanted to meet me and wanted to race me, and I thought that was the coolest thing.”
Reactions from celebrities on Twitter were also a little more forgiving.
Richard Branson Tweeted: “Shock horror, single man naked in own hotel room with woman.
"What on earth has this got to do with anybody else? Leave Prince Harry alone.”
Lady Gaga Tweeted: “HOLY MOTHER HARRY LOOKS FIT. Hope no ones mad at him for that, I'm certainly not #RoyalsArePeopleToo.”
