The Beckhams want to appear together in the upcoming re-make of the "Pink Panther".

Reports indicate that if David is to join the cast, it will be with his wife in tow.

The re-make of the classic 1963 film will see Steve Martin play Inspector Clouseau, as he investigates the death of a football manger and the theft of the Pink Panther diamond.

As the most famous footballer Stateside Mr Beckham was lined up take on his first role in a Hollywood movie, but the Daily Star has reported an insider from the MGM film studios saying David wants his wife to join him in the cast.

"David has said he'd prefer to appear in the film with Posh rather than on his own," the source said.

"I think Victoria is more interested in acting than he is and this is one way she might get noticed by agents."
