Pool Care Made Easy with These Cool Equipment
It does not matter what season it is, it’s very important that you always take care of your swimming pool.

The maintenance and pool care equipment must be costly as they are, but no one ever said that having a swimming pool is inexpensive. Still, just like anything else in the world, your pool needs constant and regular maintenance so that it can be at its best—and of course, safe to swim in. It is precisely for that reason that you need to develop a basic understanding of the essentials you may need for the maintenance of your swimming pool.
Here are some cool equipment you will need, as it will make your life tenfold easier.
-
Water Test Strips
Pool maintenance can only exist with testing your pool’s water. If it were a sunny day, and you had your friends over, and you each had every intention to jump in and kick back while you brace yourself for the meanest glow, maybe testing your pool would seem like a good idea—especially if you have not undergone pool maintenance for some time. As well as being good indicators of the safety of your swimming pool, water test strips are incredibly quick and easy to use. They will tell you what you need to know about chlorine, bromine (if that is what you use instead of chlorine) and pH levels of the water, informing you about its acidity and alkalinity.
-
Robotic Pool Cleaner
Who wants to waste their time, spending hours cleaning the bottom of their pool? “No one” is the only appropriate answer. Now, if you can or cannot afford pool maintenance staff on the regular to clean your pool for you, and if you cannot be bothered to do it yourself, perhaps then you should invest in a robotic pool cleaner.
If you want to save yourself hours and hours of cleaning time, a robotic pool cleaner will remove all the junk that your pool filters miss. Mike Harper, aka the Pool Care Guy, explains the importance of investing in a robotic cleaner for your pool, as sometimes your pool filters miss a few pieces of debris because they are either too small or they just stick to the bottom. The device is basically a low-voltage pool vacuum that runs itself.
-
Pool Cover, Always!
In the wintertime, when it is too cold to go for a swim—and too expensive to keep paying for the maintenance of your pool every other week—a pool cover is what you will need. When you close your pool and use added chemicals, a pool cover will help prevent the growth of unwanted inhabitants, such as bacteria and algae. It will significantly reduce the risk of water contamination, as it will keep bugs and any debris outside, and the water inside.
-
Telescoping Pole
This is not an actual telescope that will have you looking up at different constellations; it is only an item that looks like a telescope and has a pole. This tool is a very useful and handy one as it gives you the option to not jump inside your swimming pool, and instead, reach well within its depths to fetch something. No more getting wet in the winter with this tool. Depending on how long it is and how wide your pool is, you may end up doing it all without even moving from your place—which is ideal and convenient, as you will no longer have to chase things around your pool, floating from one side to the other.
-
Pool Shock
With you and your friends constantly going in for dips, your pool must be housing a ton of germs and god knows what! Along with an arsenal of chemicals you keep stored away, pool shock is very important. When your pool starts to smell bad, just give it a shock and everything should get back on track. The pool shock is known to be a bacteria killer that ensures your water is always sanitary and clean to use. To keep it as efficient as possible, give your swimming pool a pool shock every week—though the more you use the pool, the more shocks you will have to give it, releasing the bacteria killer.
Taking care of your pool is utterly important. A lack of sanitation may lead to grievous outcomes, like catching diseases by way of the bacteria that dwell inside. With some of these tools and equipment, your pool will always be safe and ready to use and, even better, you will be putting in the minimum amount of effort.
