Peter Andre collapsed in pain during a recent morning run, prompting the singer to believe he was having a heart attack.

The 'Mysterious Girl' star felt severe chest pains before falling to the ground during his jog at 5.30am on Wednesday, reports The Sun.

The 37-year-old was helped back to his house by a passer-by before his brother Mike called for an ambulance.

A friend told the paper: "Pete was doing his usual morning run round the private estate where he lives when he felt a crippling pain.

"He screamed out in agony and crumpled to the ground clutching his chest. He thought he was having a heart attack."

Paramedics told Katie Price's ex-husband and TV host that he had injured muscles in his chest.

"It's not serious but the pain is immense," the friend added.

Andre has recently signed a new £1m deal to stay at ITV to work on his television career.
