Paul Bhattacharjee found dead

The EastEnders actor went missing last week and was found dead in East Sussex.

Actor Paul Bhattacharjee, who went missing last week, was found dead in East Sussex as confirmed by the police. He was last seen leaving the Royal Court theatre in London’s Sloane Square on July 10th. On Wednesday, it was confirmed that his body was found at Splash Point cliffs in Seaford, East Sussex. 

 

Bhattacharjee has been formally identified and his next of kin have been informed. Police said that his death is not being treated as suspicious. 

 

The actor was said to be in good spirits the last time he was seen. However, after sending a text message to his girlfriend at 9pm, no one heard from him and he was reported missing. His friends and family had made pleas for his safe return. 

 

The theatre world paid tributes to the actor. Director Jamie Lloyd wrote: “Very sad to hear about the death of Paul Bhattacharjee. He was a very fine actor. My thoughts are with his family.”

 

The actor was due to appear in Talk Show, a black comedy, this week. His role has been recast.
