Parimatch Conducts the First-ever Esports League with Dota 2
The first season of Dota 2 was organized in cooperation with ESForce Holding, a well-known name in the esports industry for organizing such events.

Parimatch, the famous sports betting company, is on the way to substantiate its position in the esports industry as a reputed esports bookmaker with the new endeavor of the first-ever esports League.
The Final rounds were played between the four powerful teams, namely Virtus.Pro, HellRaisers, jfshfh178, and Team Spirit. In the final game between HellRaisers and Virtus.Pro, the Yota Arena in Moscow saw a crowd packed to its full capacity of 1000 viewers. A total of $70,000 was the prize pool, and the winners Virtus.Pro took home $40,000.
The number of live spectators of the final match between Virtus.Pro and HellRaisers was 69,000. Twitch, the video streaming platform, recorded a count of 6 million views of the game. The number of unique viewers per day for the season was 136,000 on average, and the highest number of unique viewers, 550,000 was recorded on the final day. The final battle was widely broadcast by various agencies, including the US and Chinese broadcasting corporations.
Epic Esports CEO, Maxim Maslov said, “We have witnessed an exciting League season. We hope everyone enjoyed the games. The League by Parimatch will boost the spread of Dota 2 in the CIS. We like to see it grow. We want to give a chance to the able players to develop their skills, and we expect more great stars coming forth in the coming season.”
Parimatch has proven its commitment to the esports sphere by the institution of the League and has also announced the next edition of the games already. The following season will have a prize pool $100,000, and the teams will be selected through qualification and not invites. The qualification matches will be starting in December 2019. The main event will be going on until May 2020.
