Oscar Pistorius appeared in court on Monday, 19th August, 2013. He appeared at the Magistrate Court, Pretoria.
He will go to trial in March next year charged with murdering Reeva Steenkamp, the court heard on Monday.
Oscar Pistorius is accused of premeditated murder of Reeva Steenkamp, 29, who was his girlfriend. He denies the charge.
Oscar Pistorius says he shot Reeva Steenkamp after mistaking her for an intruder in his home. This relates to February 14th this year.
Oscar Pistorius was indicted on a charge of illegal possession of ammunition also.
He has been granted bail. This relates to the bail of £74,000. Oscar Pistorius’ travel conditions were altered in March meaning that he could leave South Africa under certain rules.
It is understood that he has resumed ‘low key’ training in order to assist him ‘to process his trauma’, a statement on his website in June said.
Oscar Pistorius, a double amputee athlete, won gold at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. He took part in the Olympic Games also.
