With a string of movie hits, it seems everything he touches turns to gold - and now Calvin Klein is looking to latch onto this and bring him to the small screen.

Rumours are also abound that the affable star has landed a lucrative modelling contract with Calvin Klein, joining fellow rising star Scarlett Johansen as the face of one of America's leading fashion names.

The new advertisements for the designer clothing and underwear brand are scheduled for release next year.

Bloom has also just broken the hearts of teenage fans across the globe with the news that he has proposed to his girlfriend and fellow actor, Kate Bosworth.

The 27-year-old, multi-millionaire heartthrob from Canterbury in England presented Kate with a 175,000 diamond engagement ring.

"All you see is diamonds. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," New Woman magazine reported Ms Bosworth as saying.

After successful turns in the timber-shivering Pirates of the Caribbean alongside Johnny Depp and fellow Brit starlet Keira Knightley, and as the deceitful Paris in movie sensation Troy, Bloom has moved on to a new film project called Elizabethtown, which will see him star alongside Kirsten Dunst.
