Reports indicate that Disney are considering making a third instalment of the ground-breaking CGI-animated Toy Story series, minus the creative talents of the Pixar team.
According to Empire film magazine, the "house of the mouse" is involved in provisional discussions to bring Woody, Buzz et al out from the toy chest and back onto the screen.
And unlike numerous Disney franchises, the third outing for everyone's favourite toys with delusions of grandeur is likely to be on the silver screen.
But with the Disney/Pixar contract set to expire in 2005 on a high with the much anticipated Cars, Walt's empire is being forced to jettison a great deal of the verve and talent which has been behind such hits as Finding Nemo, both Toy Stories, Monster Inc and the forthcoming hit in hiding The Invincibles.
