One Direction film is #1 in UK and Ireland box office
One Direction documentary, “This Is It†made £3.47million, grabbing the top spot for UK and Ireland box office chart.

One Direction documentary entitled “This Is It” was well received by fans in UK and Ireland making £3.47million. The movie tops the box office followed by Mark Wahlberg’s Pain and Gain, another week’s new release which made £1million. The 3D film, which was directed by Morgan Spurlock, also dominated US box office making £10.9million. At the time of this writing, the film has already made £20.5million worldwide.
Elysium, which stars Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, grabbed the third place as it added £1.2million to its tally after two weeks on release. Jennifer Aniston’s We’re The Millers, which made £1.1million is currently at number 4
Disney’s animated Cars spin-off, Planes made £797,000.
Other new releases which include Steve Carell’s The Way, Way Back is at number 6 while the horror movie You’re Next, is at number 7. Animated film Despicable Me, which is now on its 10th week, still made it to the top 10.
