Sprinter Usain Bolt, who achieved historical success with his ‘double-double’ win at London 2012, may try his hand at another event for Rio de Janeiro.

 

Now the Jamaican is a ‘living legend’, having defended his Beijing title by recently winning 100m and 200m, he is eying the long jump for the next Olympics.

 

"It's just about making different goals, there's a lot of things I can do in the sport," Bolt told Sky News.

 

"My coach wants me to do 400 metres, I want to try long jump,” he added.

 

"I could always try to aim for the records again, so there's different things but after the season we'll decide what we want to do and work on that next season."

 

At London 2012 popular sportsman Bolt, who already owns six Olympic gold medals, told the BBC: "This is what I wanted and I got it. I'm very proud of myself,"

 

He added: "After a rough season I came out here and did it. I thought the world record was possible. I guess I was fast but not fit enough.

 

Former sprinter Carl Lewis, of America, who defended the 100m Olympic title in 1988, also won four gold medals in the long jump event.
